Thank you for your interest in collaborating with the César Chávez Cultural Center.  In order to be the best collaborative partner possible, we have provided some questions below that will help us build a foundation for productive collaboration and education for our campus community.  We try to accommodate all requests but please understand that this form serves only as a request and some efforts may not be possible due to limited resources.

Please note that Center identifiers must appear on all marketing materials as a general rule, and listed as sponsors if we are involved in the planning and or contribute financially to the event/workshop/classroom presentation.

Below you will find our mission and brief information about our department. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact chavezcenter@unco.edu
Mission:

The César Chávez Cultural Center will provide a home away from home space across the Latinx diaspora where their culture, ethnicity, language and traditions are respected, valued, and validated.

We provide these services through:

  • The staff endeavor to provide holistic support and connect them to people, information and resources while maintaining meaningful relationships helping them expand their network of support across the institution as well as off campus.

  • The Center staff provides intentional, culturally relevant programs that address academic success, socio-cultural and intersectional aspects of identity, and opportunities for community engagement and career readiness.

  • The ideals of equity and inclusivity as well as social justice principles provide the framework along with the passion to serve Hispanic/Latinx students at the University of Northern Colorado to reach their educational goals.
